Build the Beach, Community Open House
In May, Rainier Beach High School hosted an open house inviting community onto the beautiful new campus. The open house program honored three significant figures in the school‘s storied history with dedications. The school library is named for advocate and former school board member, Betty Patu. The new athletic complex is dedicated to legendary men‘s basketball coach, Mike Bethea. The Beach basketball court honors one of the best to ever do it, NBA legend and Rainier Beach alum Jamal Crawford.
